Phone Tag is Business' fourth "studio" album and the product of roughly 4 days spread across 2 weeks including up to 30 hours of recording, and many, many more hours of mixing and mastering in post. It features the original Business lineup for the first time in over a year. This album pays a tribute to the bands and artists that were formative to our own tastes, styles, and even lives. Other artists and songs were considered, but due to the time crunch and time lost to family affairs we had to cut back on what would have been an exceedingly ambitious album. Regardless, we pay our dues to Jack Johnson, Phish, Sublime, and Leon Russell, and send our regards to Sly Stone, the Smiths, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Black Keys, and Drake--maybe next time. Also on this album are three original Jams and an original song "Groove Factory."

Manoj: Electric guitar

If nothing else, Manoj cultivates a tone that really shapes Business' sound. The kid's got pockets full of soul and lots of live energy. It really feels like the band's back together when Manoj is on the lineup.

Spencer: Electric bass, electric guitar and vocals on "AC DC Bag"

Time and time again Spencer shows that he can thump with the best of em, or at least with with us. Next time I'm going to push for a music video because Spencer is so dancey when he plays, he really feels the rhythm with every part of his body. He looks just like he sounds: a funky mess.

Jon: Drums, vocals, backing vocals on "AC DC Bag," sound engineer

He does what he can to stay in the pocket and bring the funk. Sometimes things get out of hand, but you can always reel it back in post right? Jon wants you to know that he has done "a bajillion" vocal takes of the songs he's on and he hopes that you're happy with them. If you're not, then "who cares? It's free music for chrissake."

This album has spent the most time in post production of all 4 and has gone through several drafts, cuts, and revisions. This completed version the best we can do right now and we hope that you enjoy it as much as we do.
